Lite Books is designed mainly for Irish sole traders and small businesses. It helps users manage business information such as invoices, quotes, customers, suppliers, expenses, VAT reports, VAT RTD returns, Stripe payment information, reports, notifications and invoice logs.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Cookie Policy.

2. Who is responsible for your personal data?

For account, billing, website, support, marketing, analytics and business administration data, Stapolin Sales t/a Lite Books is usually the data controller.

For personal data entered into Lite Books by users, such as customer, supplier, employee, contractor or business contact information, the user or account owner is usually the data controller, and Lite Books may act as a data processor.

This means that if you use Lite Books to store personal data about your own customers, suppliers, employees or contacts, you are responsible for making sure you have a lawful basis to do so and that your use of Lite Books complies with data protection law.

Lite Books does not store full card details. Card payments are handled by Stripe.

• Transaction-related information needed to display Stripe activity in Lite Books

Your customer payments, card processing, chargebacks, disputes, refunds and payouts are handled by Stripe through your own linked Stripe account.

Lite Books is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services that are not controlled by us.

Data export is not currently available as a self-service feature within Lite Books, but it is planned for the future.

You should maintain your own copies of important business, tax, accounting, invoice, payroll and customer records.

We may not be able to delete certain information immediately where we need to keep it for legal, tax, accounting, security, dispute resolution or legitimate business reasons.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

These measures may include access controls, secure authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, backups, security testing and restricted access to systems.

However, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
